I just got a Big Hug from FTD ... a cute lil bear hugging a vase with pretty purple flowers ... the card says,
"Happy Birthday Mom!!! We love you and miss you much.... Maybe you can come visit in Sep and see the new baby! Have a great day!"

Thanks for your comments over at my blog, about imperfection. :) I can relate to the "character defects"...mine I believe from growing up in a dysfunctional home. All I can do now is learn and grow, right? ;) And, I completely understand what you wrote about the pain being more reassuring than the bloom. It does seem easier sometimes to stay in the way that is familiar however painful it is.
And, you're right...we are God's clay and He's not through shaping us. Good to be reminded of that. All I ever have to be is what He made me.
